Homezee Smart Solutions ("we", "us", "our") operates the WhatsApp Business service for home automation, CCTV, smart home, and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you interact with us through WhatsApp or our websites.

1. Information We Collect

When you message us on WhatsApp, we may collect:

Your phone number and WhatsApp profile name
Messages you send to us (text, images, documents)
Service enquiry details (products, quantities, preferences)
Appointment and booking information

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Respond to your enquiries about our products and services
Send quotations and product information you requested
Schedule site visits and consultations
Follow up on your enquiries with relevant updates
Improve our products and customer service

3. AI-Powered Responses

We use AI technology to provide instant, accurate responses to your enquiries. Our AI assistant can answer questions about products, pricing, and availability. Complex enquiries are routed to our human team. Your messages are processed to generate relevant responses but are not used to train AI models.

4. Using Homezee through ChatGPT

Homezee offers an assistant inside ChatGPT (via OpenAI's Apps/Plugins platform) that provides smart-home and CCTV estimates and lets you request a site visit. When you use it:

Quote questions (home type, series, camera count) are not personal information and are used only to calculate an estimate.
If you request a site visit, the assistant collects the name, phone number and pincode you provide, solely to arrange that visit. You are then handed to WhatsApp to confirm — no site visit is booked, and no message is sent to you, unless you continue on WhatsApp.
Your conversation with ChatGPT is also processed by OpenAI under OpenAI's own privacy policy. Homezee receives only the request details you submit through the assistant.
The assistant does not require an account or login, and does not collect payment information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) — as required to deliver messages via their platform
AI service providers — for processing your enquiries (data is not retained by them)
OpenAI OpCo, LLC — operates the ChatGPT assistant and our advertising-measurement service, and processes data on our behalf; this involves transferring data outside India
Our service team — to fulfill your requests and bookings

6. Data Retention

We retain enquiry and booking details for up to 12 months from your last interaction, to provide continuity of service and honour warranty and AMC commitments, after which they are deleted or anonymised. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see below).

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage, access controls, and secure transmission protocols.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request access to your personal data
Request correction or deletion of your data
Opt out of follow-up messages at any time
Withdraw consent for data processing

9. Advertising and conversion measurement

When you reach us through an advertisement — for example, by clicking an ad on ChatGPT (OpenAI) and then contacting us on WhatsApp or using our website — we process a limited amount of personal data to understand which advertisements lead to genuine enquiries.

What we process: your mobile number (transformed into an irreversible hashed form before it leaves our systems) and a non-identifying advertising click reference.
Why: solely to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. We do not use this data to contact you, and it is separate from the enquiry you send us.
Who we share it with: OpenAI OpCo, LLC, which provides our advertising-measurement service and processes this data on our behalf. This involves transferring data outside India.
Legal basis: your consent, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, which you may withhold or withdraw at any time.
Retention: 90 days, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
